What's Another Day? Tomorrow's surgery has been moved to Wednesday evening. I have a sneaking suspicion that the surgeon actually forgot to put me on his schedule at al. When I hadn't heard from the hospital by one this afternoon, I called surgery scheduling only to find out they had no record of me being scheduled at all. The surgeon's office got it resolved quickly, but I'm learning that you really have to take complete responsibility for the management of your own care. It would be tough if you were elderly and alone to guide yourself through the healthcare system. And I haven't even had to begin to deal with insurance yet... |
