Bitching Well, the responses are unanimous. You want to hear me bitch. You want to see me writing random thoughts even when there's nothing good to say. Ok, I'll try harder. I took a look at this site while I was at work today and was terribly disappointed with what's up here. I don't blog enough. When I do, it's sometimes too random or tries too hard to be too clever. I just need to write more and see how it goes; see what comes out; be more careful with proof reading. I was thinking about all of this because someone at work told me I should blog. Ha! I've been doing this for years. So the secret at work is out. Generally, I try to keep this thing secret until I leave a job, but since I haven't been talking about my current employment situation here, I reckon I've got nothing to worry about. Speaking of work, click here to read my annual self-appraisal. I am so full of shit. I guess all of this is true, but if you couch it in enough management-speak, it comes out reaking of bull. Anyway, this is a pretty good overview of what I'm currently doing for a living. I'll get my boss' feedback on my feedback and my performance next week. Then in January they'll let me know if my work is worth rewarding monetarily. I'm sure I can hope for another 1.8% bump like I received last time. Whoo hoo! This is the actual document that I submitted to my boss with the exception that I removed the corporate logo. I can and will reuse many of these lines in future self-assesments. |
