Seeing... Dick Dale tonight at the Bluebird. G-Benefit$ told me not too long ago that he plays in Denver a lot. I had never noticed, but I picked up a Westword yesterday and saw he was playing tonight. It should be a good show after a day of skiing. Surf-music, ski-music, it's close enough. Also bought tickets to see Wilco at Red Rocks in June. $50+ when you include the ticketmaster monopoly charges, but it might be worth it. They're playing with the Roots who I'm not real crazy about, but I think it is pretty easy to argue that Wilco is one of the better bands in the country right now, and Red Rocks is definitely one of the best places in the country to see a show, so I decided I could justify it. Will I find a date, or will I sell my extra ticket? |
