There was a trial in Colorado last year where a skier was convicted of criminally negligent homicide for killing another skier. The guy was apparently racing down the slopes and came over a crest where he smashed into another skier and killed him. Now that conviction has been upheld by a Court of Appeals. For the most part, people are pretty cognizant of others on the slopes, but there are some serious assholes out there too.
