Hero, Not Asinine Home Depot is making it clear that they want to run their business in the ways that they see fit. They want to be able to hire and fire the best employees not uneducated, untrained, unfit minorities that the federal government might otherwise mandate. To this end, the company is making it clear that they have no desire to do business with the government. Good for them! In today's marketplace, there are very few arenas where a business can survive without a government contract or grant. Accepting either of these puts you at the beck and call of the government. It is good to see an industry leader stand up for themselves. Now I have to go sell my AT&T and buy some Home Depot. |
